Pender was impressed by a car built by Max Hertel. Upon returning to Australia, Pender designed a new type of transmission, and sent the details to Hertel. After graduating as an engineer from a Munich technical college , he joined the Junkers Aircraft Junkers company in 1926. In 1932, he was recruited by Ernst Heinkel and two years later was made the Technical Director of the Heinkel company where he oversaw many projects including the Heinkel He 100 and Heinkel He 111 He 111 . In May 1939 he returned to the Board of Directors at Junkers where he was closely connected with the development of the Junkers Ju 288 and Junkers Ju 248 Ju 248 . In February 1945, he also worked on a project of the Dornier Do 635 , one of the twin boom fighter aircraft developed from Dornier Do 335 but the project was cancelled in 1945. After World War II , Hertel worked in France before returning to Germany in 1950 to teach aeronautics in Berlin. He was born in Eisenach , into a family of musicians. His father, Johann Christian Hertel 1697 1754 was Konzertmeister from 1733 and director of music at the Eisenach court, while his grandfather, Jakob Christian Hertel ca. 1667 ca. 1726 , had been Kapellmeister in Oettingen and later Merseburg. At an early age Johann Wilhelm accompanied his father, an accomplished viol player, on tour at the harpsichord. He also learned the violin, which he studied with Franz Benda . In 1742 he came with his father to Mecklenburg Strelitz where he was active playing both instruments. Among his pupils there was Carl Friedrich Christian Fasch 1736 1800 . After further music studies in Zerbst and Berlin, Hertel moved to the Duchy of Mecklenburg Schwerin, where he made a successful career, initially as principal and later becoming court composer, and likewise undertaking teaching. During the reign of Duke Christian Ludwig II 2C Duke of Mecklenburg Schwerin Christian Ludwig II , Hertel wrote primarily representative instrumental music, while during the reign of his successor, Friedrich II of Mecklenburg Schwerin Friedrich called the pious he focused on sacred music.     Dennis Mark Hertel born December 7, 1948 is a former a politician from the U.S. state of Michigan . Hertel was born in Detroit, Michigan , where he attended the public schools, graduating from Denby High School in 1967. He received a Bachelor of Arts B.A. from Eastern Michigan University in 1971 and a Juris Doctor J.D. from Wayne State University in 1974. He was admitted to the Michigan bar law bar in 1975 and commenced practice in Detroit. He served in the Michigan House of Representatives , 1975 1980, representing the 12th district. Hertel was elected as a Democrat United States Democrat from Michigan s 14th congressional district to the 97th United States Congress and to the five succeeding Congresses, serving from January 3, 1981 to January 3, 1993. He was not a candidate for renomination in 1992, primarily because his old district was split into four other districts which all had Democrat incumbents. Since leaving the Congress he has practiced law with the firm of Johnson, Rosati, Galica, Labarge, Aseltyne, Sugameli & Field, P.C. He was born in Trois Rivi res, Quebec Trois Rivi res in 1748, the son of Ren Ovide Hertel de Rouville , and served in the France French R giment du Languedoc. He returned to Province of Quebec 1763 1791 Quebec in 1772. He helped in the defence of Fort St. Johns later Saint Jean sur Richelieu on the Richelieu River against the United States Americans in 1775 he was taken prisoner and released twenty months later. In 1783, he was named a justice of the peace for Montreal district. He settled at Chambly, Quebec Chambly , on his father s seigneury, in 1789 and was named a colonel in the local militia the following year. After his father died in 1792, he received half of the seigneury of Rouville and part of Chambly he later purchased the remainder of Rouville. Also in 1792, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada for Bedford. In 1812, he was named to the Legislative Council of Lower Canada Legislative Council .     Joseph Fran ois Hertel de la Fresni re baptised 3 July 1642 buried 22 May 1722 was a military officer of New France . Born in Trois Rivi res, Quebec Trois Rivi res when it was a small frontier town, he grew up with the constant threat of military action against the Iroquois . Captured by the Iroquois in 1661, he was adopted by an old Iroquois woman, and spent as long as two years among them, learning their language and ways. He managed to escape and make his way home, where his family had thought him dead. He participated in numerous Beaver Wars expeditions against the Iroquois , and assisted in the construction of Fort Frontenac . He was briefly imprisoned by French authorities on allegations of illegal fur trade in 1678. Upon the outbreak of King William s War in 1689, he was chosen by Governor Frontenac to lead an expedition in 1690 that successfully Raid on Salmon Falls raided Salmon Falls on the Maine New Hampshire border, and then contributed to the successful Battle of Fort Loyal destruction of a settlement on Falmouth Neck site of present day Portland, Maine . Upon his return to Canada, he participated in the defense of Quebec City Quebec when it was Battle of Quebec 1690 attacked by New England colonists under Sir William Phips . He married in 1664, and had many children.
