The York Technology Association was established in 1983 as an economic development community supporting the growth of technology companies in the greater Toronto Region. The Association has evolved into a cluster of economic activity, drawing together technology and key service companies supporting sustained economic development. The YTA draws its members from the Region considered to be at the centre-point of Canada's most economically active technology corridor according to the independent Branhan 300 list of technology companies.
