The discography of American singer Lana Del Rey consists of two studio album and two extended plays. As of July 2012, she has sold an estimated 2 million albums and 2 million singles worldwide.[1]
After having been signed with Stranger Records, Interscope Records and Polydor,[2] Del Rey made her debut in January 2012 with the studio album Born to Die, an indie pop piece inspired by different musical styles such as sadcore and soul.[2] As of July 2012, Born to Die has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide.[3] It peaked at number one in Greece, Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and other European countries.[4] Furthermore, it topped the albums chart in Australia, where it was subsequently certified Platinum.[5] The first single, "Video Games", was released in October 2011.[6] It was well received by both critics and the general public, and reached number one in Germany.[7] The album spawned two more singles: "Born to Die", which gained popularity in the United Kingdom, and "Blue Jeans", a song that Del Rey also performed on Saturday Night Live.[8]
