336th Air Refueling Squadron

The 336th Air Refueling Squadron (336 ARS) is part of the 452d Air Mobility Wing at March Joint Air Reserve Base, California. It operates the KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft conducting aerial refueling missions.

Mission

History

The squadron conducted operational training from, February March 1943 and replacement training from, April 1943 March 1944. It transported U.S. Army troops and cargo, provided aerial resupply, and dropped paratroopers within the U.S. from, May 1951 January 1953 and performed similar duties worldwide from, April 1953 June 1976. The 336th has performed aerial refueling worldwide since 1977.[1]
